The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut, has earned a place on the coveted pages of travel writer Patricia Schultz’s new book—1,000 Places to See in the U.S.A and Canada Before You Die.
This edition supplements her 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, a travel book that has enjoyed a 162 week (and counting) run on The New York Times bestseller list and is the basis of the new reality television show currently airing on The Travel Channel, as well as the starting point for the up-and-coming Web site, www.1000beforeyoudie.com.
Schultz, the travel-hit-list guru, recognizes Ridgefield and The Aldrich as a Fairfield County Highlight in the book. She writes, “Don’t miss the town’s seminal Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, one of the first museums in the nation devoted exclusively to contemporary art.” She also notes the Museum’s “provocative, changing exhibits that focus on emerging artists” and “fine two-acre sculpture garden.”
