Member Tour at browngrotta arts, Wilton

Enjoy a glass of wine or a curated cocktail with fellow members on a private tour of browngrotta arts’ “Art in the Barn” exhibition. Volume 50: Chronicling Fiber Art for Three Decades is a retrospective celebration of the 50 print catalogs on fiber and modern craft the gallery has published in the last 30 years. The exhibition will include work by 50+ international artists, working in fiber, ceramics and mixed media, who have helped define modern craft movement since the 1960s. The exhibition catalog will include an essay by Glenn Adamson author, curator and former Director of the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and curator of The Aldrich exhibition Zoë Sheehan Saldaña: There Must Be Some Way Out of Here .

We’ve got the best seat in the house! Join us on the historic front porch of the Old Hundred and cheer on the marchers of Ridgefield’s annual Memorial Day Parade. Enjoy light refreshments and bring your favorite lawn chair to stake your spot! Afterwards, visit the Museum to see the latest exhibitions by Genesis Belanger and Frank Stella and see Zoë Sheehan Saldaña’s exhibition on its final day.
