Erica Baum to Speak on May 12

Artist Erica Baum will join Suzanne McClelland and Michael St. John on the May 12th in a roundtable discussion at The Aldrich exploring notions of homage, history, and voice in contemporary art, from 7 to 8:30 pm. The talk will be moderated by editor and critic Faye Hirsch. Mining printed matter, Baum’s work evokes intimate associations within the viewer. Her work is currently on view at the Jewish Museum in “Arcade: Contemporary Art and Walter Benjamin.”

Faye Hirsch to Speak on May 12

Editor and critic Faye Hirsch will moderate the panel discussion with artists Suzanne McClelland, Erica Baum, and Michael St. John on May 12 from 7 to 8:30 pm. Hirsch was a senior editor at Art in America from 2003 to 2012, and remains a contributing editor. She is currently a visiting associate professor and serves as MFA program coordinator at the School of Art + Design at Purchase College, State University of New York and is working on a monograph about painter Lois Dodd.
