Jon Conner works in computer-controlled carved polystyrene foam as well as cast sculptural materials inspired by subjects as varied as colonial history, comic book superheros, and suburban American life. He currently has several sculptures installed at Metro Tech Center in Brooklyn in an exhibition supported by The Public Art Fund. Conner's work has been seen at The Aldrich in Self-Sufficient Barnyard (The annual amount of livestock needed to feed a family of four). In 2002 Conner received a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant. He lives and works in Brooklyn.
